Honestly Ive tried it all prescriptions, abreva, alcohol, anything to get it to go away sooner. I have to tell you and its what the doctor told me. A cold sore is a virus and it has to run its course. When its gone its gone. Believe me you think it looks worse than it really does. Put your makeup base on it and then lipstick and go have the best time of your life. No one will notice it
