Show me another »How do you treat a cold sore to make it gone or shorten how long it stays?
I have an annoying one on my lip outside and it hurts to talk and I want to know how to get rid of it within a week.

- LYSINE It's an amino acid that comes in capsule form. Get it at local supermarket or vitamin store.It's also found in many col sore lip balms. P.S my friend you have herpies Bad ones. Lance the cold sore with a razor blade or pin and Q-TIP some rubbing alcohol on it. This will release the fluid keep it from getting bigger and dry it out. Shortening the life span by about a week. Got to a doc. and let him look 4 more herps.

Earl Mindells vitamin bible0% 0 Votes - You can use listerine or any mouthwash that contains alcohol. Alcohol (Really strong ****) Swish around. You can buy cold sore creams at a drug store and you can also purchase things like orajel to nub up the area for a bit. If its out side, Use vodka on a cotton ball and hold it on. Use the stuff you bought at the store and put it on.

but it really does work.
cold sores are in your blood, so they will keep coming back so what works for me is when you think your getting one or it starts to show, put abreva on its amazing it stops it from forming :):)0% 0 Votes - Of course it's on the outside. If it was on the inside it would be a canker sore which is entirely different. A cold sore is a form of herpes which about 80% of Americans has. There are treatments for it in any drugstore right next to where you would buy chapstick.0% 0 Votes
