Show me another »Help!How to treat cold sore or something?
I don't know if its a cold sore its not like but it was like really dry to weeks ago its on upper lip and its dry and like has a scratch on it do you know what it is and if so how do you treat without buying crem like abreva cause i don not want to buy anything so help

- putting ice on it will make it less noticable or irritated. also IF u have any vasiline or chap stick or lip stick or lip gloss (most people have atleast one of those laying around) apply it.0% 0 Votes
- A cold sore would not last more than two weeks. If you have had this bump for longer than that, then I doubt that it is a cold sore. Also, cold sores typically itch and burn, and you did not mention either of these symptoms.
Try rubbing the bump with medicated lip gloss (anything with glitter may irritate it more) or use petroleum jelly (Vaseline). If you have neither of these and truly do not want to buy anything, then you could try the homeopathic (though somewhat gross) remedy for dry skin: rubbing the area with vegetable oil.0% 0 Votes
